A black-stained wood seat and back on a matte black tubular steel frame, monochrome without going flat, since the stain still lets the grain read through. The wide curved backrest over a contoured seat keeps the sitting position comfortable despite the sharp all-black look, and tapered steel legs flow cleanly out of the frame. A metal handle detail on the back nods to classic schoolhouse seating and gives staff something to grab. It is 22.5 inches square in plan and 32.5 inches tall. Twenty chairs minimum.
